SCHOOL TEACHERS’ EXAM SHOULD BE AS TOUGH AS CIVIL SERVICE EXAM
In the interest of one and all……..
My dear countrymen!
My dear countrymen!
Although I had been a mediocre student throughout, while doing my graduation from Gorakhpur University,(U.P.), Luckily , I happened to develop a very cordial relations with two of my English Professors, namely late Shri R.S. TRIPATHI ( nicknamed as Bulganin) and Shri K. G. Srivastava , and proudly mention that relationship is still continuing till date. Both were geniuses in their own right and Srivastavaji incidentally was also the student of Tripathi Sir, later joined Allahabad University and retired from there as V.C. From them only, I Inherited the good habit of reading various type of books and magazines other than Text Books.
“BOOKS
LOVERS ARE THE HAPPIEST and THE RICHEST.”
-Gorge Bernard Shaw.
Though
I was so influenced and inspired by their company, gradually with the passage
of time I developed my personality according to their thoughts and philosophies. I owe them a lot and I will not be able to pay back their debt
in this life. Had I got this type of mentor-ship and guidance during my
schooling, I would have been a different man altogether. This precisely is the
reason, I
give more importance to the primary school teachers up to 10th standard and wish its selection process at par with civil services.
give more importance to the primary school teachers up to 10th standard and wish its selection process at par with civil services.
The dawn of new Govt. in Delhi, we expect and hope the drastic needed reforms everywhere soon. And very shortly, people will witness the revolutionary change and work culture quite different in almost all the Govt. Depts. Sensing this possibilities brighter, I tempted to express my views on the subject matter. In this connection, I would like to quote what WILLIAM ARTHUR said about the teacher.
“THE
MEDIOCRE TEACHER TELLS. THE GOOD TEACHER EXPLAINS. THE SUPERIOR TEACHER DEMONSTRATES.
THE GREAT TEACHER INSPIRES.”
Contrary
to the existing ailing systems, I think school teachers’ exam should be toughest
like civil service exam so that best brains should be attracted towards this
arena. If so recruited and offered a handsome salary let us say minimum 1.0 lakh per month, consolidated to
begin with, I believe this is not at all a big cost our country cannot afford
when the question of our country’s CHARACTER and NATION BUILDING comes. It
will pay a very rich dividend in the long run. Though this process may take
some time in fruition, the final miraculous outcome, when will come be beyond
one’s expectations and imaginations. Children coming out after passing 10th
standard, will be so versatile, that we will feel proud of them and they (our
wards) will be so capable enough to excel in
almost all the fields of their choice and interest on their own. And
eventually they will prove to be a great asset for our country.
In
case we afford to take risk, I believe, this will be the investment in nation
building and within few years’ country will notice complete transformation in
environment that ultimately country will have to slash their budget to the
great extent. Atmosphere will come out to be so harmonious that we will be able
to save a lot of budgetary fund spent on
unnecessary things such as in controlling
mechanism and like heavy expenses on CCTVs
cameras for women safety and security, thefts, petty crimes, and various
types of other small crimes…etc.
It
is really a matter of great shame that even after 65 years of independence Govt.
of the day is not keen in making the foundation of our children strong. If we
give a little thought seriously on this issue of national importance, we can
make them self-sufficient to propel in life independently and efficiently. By
so doing, trust me we will be able to finish the cancer of Reservations for
good. Reasons being SC/ST and all others minorities class will voluntarily refuse
to avail the benefits of reservation because of confidence, values, honor and confidence nurtured in them by good faculties since childhood.
It
is the established fact that there is widespread corruption in Education
department, where zero percent corruption should be the norms, kindly note. It
is not late even today, if we make a pledge today and start taking remedial
measures, soon we will be able to tide over the complex situations, trust me.
We
are hearing a lot of noises for quite a long time but at higher studies only, not
at primary level where it needs the most, Which will ultimately pave the way
for making our nation proud and super power. If we really want our nation to be a real
super power from all angles, we must gladly opt for this. Why so vital issue of
national importance has been so neglected, really surprising. To my mind, may
be no policy maker has the patience to wait for such a long period of 18 yrs or
so (voting age) for result.
Living
in Delhi for the last 35 yrs, we have seen much a change but never thought to
write about, but this time with the new Govt. in the scene, we hope to see some
possibilities of desired change.
Towards
reaching idealism, this is my just a humble beginning……. Finally with following
ARISTOTLE’S QUOTE, I finish my views…..
"THOSE
WHO EDUCATE CHILDREN WELL ARE MORE TO BE HONORED THAN THEY WHO PRODUCE THEM;
FOR THESE ONLY GAVE THEM LIFE, THOSE THE ART OF LIVING WELL".
